AERB Approved Service Agency

AERB – Atomic Energy Regulatory Board. The mission of the AERB is to ensure the use of ionising radiation and nuclear energy in India does not cause undue risk to the health of people and the environment.

AERB ensures that all the service providers of Diagnostic Radiology equipment are duly approved so that the same quality and standards are met across the country.

There are various services in Diagnostic Radiology such as Quality Assurance & Performance testing, installation of equipment and servicing of equipment. All these are done by Service Agencies. AERB has stringent rules for the service agency to possess certain skill sets and conducts frequent training programs.

After successful completion of tests of different levels, the governing body lists the agency in their AERB approved Service Agency.

The services availed from these AERB approved Service Agency is always assured of the quality of service as per the standards.

These AERB approved service agencies ensure that equipment installed / serviced by them have the permitted radiation parameter and do not certify if the equipment does not meet the recommended parameters. Thus the patient safety and public safety is guaranteed by these AERB approved service agencies.
